V-alone-tines Day part 1

It's the time of the year where many couples who are still in good terms would celebrate this day call Valentines Day. It's the time to declare or re-affirm or consolidate your love for each other. It's time to buy gifts; flowers, chocolates or perhaps diamonds for the rich. It's time to have candle light dinner at a posh restaurant. To cut things short, it's time to show YOUR LOVE.

What the fuss of this special day? As for me, this is a normal day just. Why? Because yet again at this time of the year, I don't have a girlfriend nor a girl whom I'm trying to get. I have to admit and say that I have never celebrate Valentines Day before in my whole LIFE.

One girl friend asked, "How come? I thought you had girlfriends before, don't you?".

Another also asked, "Come on Tommy. Don't lie to me lah. I don't believe you. I think it's because you have too many girlfriends to choose to celebrate Valentines Day."

Sigh...why you guys dont' believe?

Maybe it's somewhat coincident that I haven't got a chance to celebrate it with someone special because that really special one haven't come yet.(Am I self comforting?) Yes, I did have 3 relationships before. But none of them I had any chance to even plan for it.

The first relationship that I had was a puppy love way back 1994 when I was studying in Jasin Melaka for 3 years. I was form 1 then. It was a really sweet memory recalling it. We liked each other alot and we only had chance to meet at school albeit one trip to Melaka town. Besides that, we only talked over the phone. If I didn't mistaken, I only hold her hand for 2 times. Nevertheless, it was really a fast-heart-beating experience. Well, we had our first valentines day in form 2 and she gaved me a BIG valentines day card, bigger than A4 size while I also gave her a card at the end of school. Does that count as 'celebrated Valentines Day'? I don't think so. I moved back to Sitiawan at the end of form 2 and the puppy just ended like that after some time because we seldom contact each other anymore. Therefore, 1st relationship, NO VALENTINES DAY CELEBRATION for me.

to be continue...

Home Sweet Home

I'm back home. Yes. I'm back in Sitiawan. What a nice feeling to be with family members; dad, mum, and sisters. I could see the smile on their face when they were at home waiting for me to come back.

Well, we spring cleaned our home. It was very tiring because my home was quite dirty because there was lots of dust. Since mum had the operation to remove the cancer cells in her right breast, she couldn't clean the house as frequently as she used to do so as she doesn't have the kind of energy to clean the house everyday.

Hurray! Chinese New Year is just around the corner. I'm so happy that I can have a week plus to rest and recharge my biological-battery before going back to work in Singapore. I want this one week to be a fruitful one. I want to change many things about myself and back to Singapore as a changed person. I'm sure I can. Hehe...YES!

Had a long talk with mum during our trip to Ipoh last evening. I realized mum really changed alot physically, mentally and most importantly, spiritually. She look much older. Her thinking is much different. Her priorities are different. She said to me that she's already ahead of me spiritually which in the past I was the one who encourage her to become a Christian and spread the gospel to her. She's the one who is encouraging me and correct me whenever I start to go astray. Thank you mum.

Happy Chinese New Year to all my FRIENDS! Have a great reunion with your family and a prosperous year ahead. Cheers.

I have to admit that I'm not tall. Never do I admit that I'm tall. I always say that I'm short. Well, today a beautiful china mother said something which goes like this when I call her beautiful mum >> "Well, I won't marry my daughter to you because you are tall not tall enough..." After that I was like this >> -_-"

Sigh...

It's almost 7am already. Sunday morning. As usual, I can't really get myself to sleep on weekend night. Sigh. I thought weekends should be the time when most people can just sleep rest well after a week of hard work.

Last night, 13 of us when to Holland Village to celebrate Xinyi a.k.a SUPERSTARS's birthday which was on 13th of January. It was a OK dinner at TCC cafe. Xinyi looked very happy with so many people coming for her birthday dinner organized by her boyfriend, Tee Yong.

Prudential was 1st overall in 2005 in terms of new business in the industry!

2005 marks a new era under the guidance of Mr. Kevin Wright as our newly appointed CEO. It's a remarkable achievement in his first year in office. Well, what does this means to me in a year where I didn't do well? After some thinking, this achievement by our company established a very good opportunity to build on the success in 2005 for me to work harder this year. Ganbate TOMMY CHIENG!!!! I BELIEVE I CAN ACHIEVE WHATEVER I SET OUT TO DO THIS YEAR!

Ok la, I think I need a half an hour nap before going to church later. Below are the 2 pictures I took with my mobile last Wednesday outside of Suntec City during one of the breaks we had. Tell me what you think about the pictures, k?

Important note: Pictures can be deceiving. Haha...=D
